Spanish teams eyeing cheaper F1
(GMM) Another potential entry has joined the ranks of those queuing for a place in F1's budget-capped future.
Spain's Marca newspaper reports that Joan Villadelprat, a former F1 team official who now runs a Le Mans outfit Epsilon Euskadi, believes he can compile a 40m pounds sterling budget for 2010.
"I have the site, the wind tunnel with the appropriate scale, the determination, everything," said Villadelprat, a Spaniard who worked with Minardi, Benetton, Ferrari, McLaren, Tyrrell, Benetton and Prost.
It is also reported that Alfonso de Orleans, boss of the GP2 team Racing Engineering, is working on a F1 project for 2011.
