Record crowd expected for Iowa

The race for the record crowd at Iowa Speedway is officially over. Iowa Speedway president Jerry Jauron said in a press release today the track will exceed attendance of 40,000 for the Iowa Corn Indy 250 — topping the mark of 39,271 set last season.

Tickets are still available for the races today and Saturday — the Kellogg’s Klash USAC Midget Series event at 8:10 tonight and the Firestone Indy Lights Miller Lite 100 at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Limited infield grandstand seating and standing room only is available for the Iowa Corn Indy 250, which starts at 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday, and will be shown live on ABC.
