Another driver has been added to the Silly Season in 2018, as Matt DiBenedetto announced Friday via Twitter that he will be leaving Go Fas Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series for 2019.

Following a two-season run for the Ford organization, the relationship will end at the conclusion of 2018.

“Go Fas Racing, [team owners] Archie, Mason St. Hillaire and all of our partners and I have decided to move in different directions for 2019," DiBenedetto said via Twitter. “I would like to thank Archie, Mason and all of our partners for the support that allowed the No. 32 team to exceed everyone’s expectations over the past two seasons."

Joining Go Fas in 2017, DiBenedetto, 27, scored three top-10 finishes, including an eighth place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2017, the track he will compete at on Sunday in the Brickyard 400.

Despite the move, the underdog of DiBenedetto is confident it is the best opportunity to “further my career and showcase my talent" toward future NASCAR rides.

“Winning races has always been the goal and now I’m taking a leap of faith and betting on myself to prove it. Watching other drivers get opportunities has definitely been a driving force in my decision, knowing that I can get it done if given the chance."

DiBenedetto will speak with the media Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. Kickin The Tires
