07/04/09 We ran into Oriol Servia who told us he was close to putting together a multi-race deal starting with this race but it fell through at the last minute. "Money is really really tight right now said Servia, but this is where I want to be (IndyCar) so I keep on trying."……The team owners are so concerned about the future of IndyCar Racing now that Tony George has been voted out of his controlling role in the family business that they have called a Team Meeting among themselves at 5 PM today to discuss the situation……Meanwhile we await an interview with Brian Barnhart and Terry Angstadt who will likely tell us how great everything is……Did you know that Guillaume "Rocky" Rocquelin, former race engineer for NHR when Cristiano da Matta won the 2002 CART title and was with NHR from 2002-2005 (4 seasons) including with driver Oriol Servia in Champ Car, is now the engineer for Sebastian Vettel in F1…..It seems the Indy Lights cars have an inherent understeer in the high speed corners whereas the new Ferrari A1GP cars oversteer so they are much harder to drive – so says Felipe Guimaraes from Brazil who has driven both………Mark C. reporting from Watkins Glen
