New IRL chassis to be made in Indy?

We are told that the State of Indiana is offering some significant tax breaks and incentives if the new IRL chassis is built in the Indy metro area.

The old Riley&Scott facility is close to Speedway, and we are sure there are plenty of facilities and other suppliers in the area that would make it a very feasible place to manufacture the chassis. It would also keep costs down on shipping, as most all the teams are based in Indy, or very close by. Couple the cheap (or non-existent) shipping costs with the domestic currency, and that adds up to significant savings all by itself.

Stay tuned for more on the chassis rumors, as we will have staff at the PRI show that will be looking into this one to bring you the scoop!
