General Motors plans no cuts to racing programs

Changes to General Motors' product line, auto production facilities, and its workforce will not impact the current racing programs the auto giant has in place.

With this week's news of upcoming plant closures and the potential downsizing of more than 10,000 employees, questions concerning Chevrolet Racing's major racing endeavors have been raised in the various paddocks where the brand competes.

"Our Motorsports programs and team relationships are not impacted by the GM transformation announcement from earlier this week," a Chevrolet spokesperson told Racer.
