NTT announces IndyCar sponsorship to its employees

The following message was sent to all NTT Data (The USA are of NTT) employees today:

Hi Team,

If you haven’t heard yet, NTT has become the Title Sponsor of the IndyCar Series! This is a huge step that will increase our brand awareness in North America, and we’ll use it to showcase our capabilities and drive even deeper client engagements.

INDYCAR made the announcement today at the North America­­­­­­­­­­n International Auto Show in Detroit.

On a personal note, I’m ecstatic! I grew up in Indiana and vividly remember going to the Indianapolis 500 time trials as a child, and I’m thrilled to see a company of NTT’s global stature sign up to support and create new fans for a sport I love. NTT DATA is entering our 7th year as sponsor and technology partner of Chip Ganassi Racing, a legendary IndyCar team. Now, we’re moving into an entirely new stratosphere that lets us leverage the entire IndyCar program and team rosters.

On top of sponsoring the 17-race NTT IndyCar Series, we also have become the Official Technology Partner of IndyCar, the IndyCar Series, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indianapolis 500 (the largest sporting event in the world!) and NASCAR’s Brickyard 400. That means we’ll bring NTT’s proprietary Smart Platform technology to racing venues to enhance fan engagement. NTT DATA will also be in charge of the IndyCar Mobile App, among other opportunities to showcase our capabilities.

Clearly, this is a big commitment by NTT, and it’s a huge opportunity for NTT DATA Services. I hope you’re as excited as I am, because team NTT is off to the races. Start your engines!
