This year’s Ferrari F1 car has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests with less than a month to go to the first day of preseason testing in Barcelona next month.

Autosprint reports that the new Ferrari Formula 1 car passed a multitude of dynamic impact tests performed to the front, sides, and rear of the chassis, plus the steering column while the driver’s survival cell remained undamaged throughout as per regulations. All the boxes were ticked.

Ferrari will launch their new car at Maranello on Friday, 15 February, before they transport it to Circuit de Catalunya for the team’s allotted Film Day, at the venue, a day before preseason testing begins on 18 February.

Only three teams have passed their crash tests so far – McLaren Ferrari and Toro Rosso
