Rolex 24 Hour 16: Alonso leads at 2/3 mark

The field is bunched under yellow for a crash by the #4 Corvette in Turn 1 as car have begun to aquaplane as the race hit hour 16 – the 2/3 mark

Fernando Alonso lost all the huge lead he built up in the rain when the track was green, and we expect he will take the IMSA drivers to school again if the track ever goes back green. The rain is really heavy.

The two Acura Penskes with Dane Cameron and Ricky Taylor run 2nd and 3rd while Pipo Derani holds 4th in the #31 Cadillac as this race is still very much up in the air.

Ditto for GTLM as the #62 Ferrari leads followed by a host of cars who can pull off the win if we go green again.

GTD is just as close with nine cars on the lead lap.
