Pappas sustains fractures after Bathurst 12 Hour shunt

45-year old American Black Swan Racing driver Tim Pappas has sustained fractures to his right arm and pelvis following a heavy shunt during Bathurst 12 Hour practice.
The American was at the wheel when the Black Swan Racing Porsche lost control and backed into the wall hard at The Chase before bursting into flames.
Pappas was conscious following the impact and has since been airlifted to hospital in Sydney for further examination and is in a stable condition.
