IndyCar to have 5 or more different make cars in 2012

Not only does IndyCar now have 3 engine manufacturers for 2012, with more anticipated for 2013, they likely will have 5 or more different 'cars' in 2012.

“We’ve been contacted directly by a dozen companies," IndyCar Technical Director Tony Cotman told Speedtv.com. "Out of that, I’d rate seven or eight as very realistic. By that I mean companies that have the current resources and capabilities to produce an aero kit, and would be welcomed into the series."
