Michael Masi takes on Charlie Whiting’s duties for Australian GP

The FIA has confirmed that Michael Masi will act as Race Director for this weekend’s Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, following the death of Charlie Whiting.
On Thursday evening the FIA confirmed that Masi will take on Whiting’s duties, which also includes being Safety Delegate and race Starter.
Masi will be responsible for all of the duties previously held by Whiting for this race for now.
The FIA has not yet communicated whether Masi will take the role permanently.
