12 Hours of Sebring Hour 6: #31 Cadillac leads at halfway

The No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R continues to lead the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with Pipo Derani at the wheel of the Whelen Engineering-backed car through the halfway point.
The race entered its second half under Full Course Caution after Jonathan Bomarito slid off track in the No. 55 Team Joest Mazda RT24-P DPi while running second.
This incident promoted the No. 5 Action Express Cadillac DPi up to second, while the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac progressed to third as the field went into a round of pit stops under caution.
Derani and his co-drivers Eric Curran and Felipe Nasr have led large parts of the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship so far, with their time at the front only interrupted by the DPi contenders that are running on alternate pit strategies.
Ford Chip Ganassi Racing controlled GTLM class race with the No. 67 and No. 66 Ford GTs setting a fierce pace at the head of the field.
Scott Dixon and Joey Hans led the pack into the Full Course Caution pit stops as the Fords lost their 30-second plus advantage over the No. 63 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R.
In GT Daytona, GRT Grasser Racing’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3 led from the Porsche 911 GT3 R of Pfaff Motorsports with the top nine runners all jostling for position on the lead lap.
