Honda to dominate Indy?
Apparently the Chevy IndyCar teams are very unhappy that Honda was allowed to make a change to their turbochargers starting with the next race in Brazil. Rumor has it that on the dyno at 100% throttle, which is the case at Indy and Texas where the cars are wide open pretty much all race, the single turbo allows the engine to make 20 additional HP over the dual turbos. One rumor we hear is that there is less overall back pressure with the single turbo over the twin turbos allowing the engines to make more top-end power. The two smaller twin turbos give better mid-range performance, which would explain why the Chevy teams have dominated the first three races.
