McLaren Racing and Huski Chocolate today announced an extension of their partnership that will see the brands come together at this year’s Indianapolis 500, where McLaren and driver Fernando Alonso will compete at the 103rd running of the historic sporting event.
Huski Chocolate was announced as a multi-year partner of the McLaren Formula 1 team in February 2019. This extension will see Huski Chocolate represented on the McLaren-Chevrolet and on Fernando’s racesuit, along with the McLaren team apparel at the Indy 500.
Huski’s hot and cold drinks are already served at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK and will also be available to team personnel, partners, media and race guests at the 2019 Indy 500.
Zak Brown, Chief Executive Officer, McLaren Racing, said:
“We were excited to announce our Formula 1 partnership with Huski earlier this year and we are pleased they have also chosen to come on our Indy 500 journey with us. Our partnership supports Huski’s plans to engage with new and existing audiences and markets, and we are looking forward to activating together in the US."
Linus Wessman, Chief Executive Officer, Huski Chocolate, said:
“The US is currently Huski Chocolate´s biggest market, with our outstanding hot chocolate available at numerous ski resorts and cafe's, and we can't wait to introduce our cold drink here as well.
We are all excited to be part of the biggest motorsport event in the country and we’re looking forward to cheering Fernando Alonso on during his attempt at motorsport’s unofficial triple crown along with our good friends at McLaren."
