Hockenheim race promoter drowning in red ink

The main section of the grandstand and even there the crowd was sparse

With two straights days at the Hockenheim circuit where the F1 teams are gathered for Sunday's German GP, word is that the race promoter will take a financial bloodbath this weekend. With most fans staying away due to the weather the race promoter is losing out on ticket sales and concession sales. Meanwhile he still has to pay Bernie Ecclestone (FOM) the high sanction fee and he gets not TV money and other advertising revenue. With Nurburgring the latest to file for bankruptcy, will we see another F1 promoter going bankrupt soon?
