Kyle Kaiser and Will Owen |
Juncos Racing is set for the third event of the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this week at Long Beach. American's Kyle Kaiser and Will Owen will pilot the No. 50 Juncos Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R entry for the BUBBA burger Sports Car Grand Prix at Long Beach
Will Owen will make his third start during the 2019 season with Juncos Racing and is currently the only full season driver. Owen finished fifth at Long Beach during the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
"Long Beach is one of the coolest street courses around," said Owen. "I am fortunate to have run in the IMSA event here in 2017; it was my first sportscar race and I was totally over my head. The two years of experience I have now will help me attack this course head on and go for a good result. Everyone at Juncos Racing has been pushing hard after Sebring to make the #50 Cadillac DPi-V.R the best it can be. I can't wait to get out there!"
Kyle Kaiser has competed multiple times at Long Beach including the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Series and the NTT IndyCar Series. This will mark Kaiser's second run in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
"I'm very excited and grateful to be getting back behind the wheel of the #50 Juncos Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R at Long Beach," said Kaiser. "I'm familiar with the circuit and more familiar with the car since doing the Rolex 24. Will (Owen) and I worked well together at Daytona, so I'm confident we'll be able to put together a strong package for the race."
