Polestar, the electric performance brand, has announced the expansion of its management team in North America. Six new appointments have taken place as the company prepares for the roll-out of Polestar Spaces, initial deliveries of the Polestar 1 to customers, and the launch of the Polestar 2 – the brand’s first fully-electric car.

Led in the region by Gregor Hembrough, North America is one of three key regions for Polestar. Launched in 2017 as a standalone brand from the Volvo Car Group, Polestar has since begun recruiting a global retailer network, constructed a new factory, and will soon begin production of its first car, the 600 horsepower Polestar 1.

“These new hires round out the initial management team for the region, with further recruitment to follow on course with business milestones," says Gregor Hembrough. “Each member of the team possesses a passion for building a progressive car company that will offer a truly innovative and unique experience in the industry."

Hugues Bissonnette has been recruited to lead Polestar in the Canadian market. He joins the team from Volvo Car Canada, where he was most recently the Director of Sales Operations. He will spearhead all of Polestar’s commercial efforts in Canada, including the development of the brand’s retail environments, customer service initiatives and driving overall brand performance.

Ignacio De Isusi joins the team with extensive international experience managing sales operations and retail development, and will be responsible for the establishment and growth of the retailer network in North America.

Kyle Denlinger will oversee all Digital initiatives, a role he is well suited for based on his experience leading digital and business transformation initiatives across multiple industries.

With experience founding two digital startups in the electric vehicle space, Gabriel Elsner joins Polestar as Business Development Manager. In this role he will drive go-to-market activity as well as the vehicle commercial offering.

Krystle Morley joins the Polestar team as Customer Service Manager, and will drive the development of Polestar aftercare programs to the level of an industry-leading ownership experience.

As the North American Marketing lead, Melissa Zimyeski joins the team with extensive expertise in consumer insights, campaign development, digital rollouts and innovative brand launches.
