Roush Fenway Racing has announced a partnership with Mazola Corn Oil in which the brand will serve as a primary partner on driver Ryan Newman’s No. 6 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series later this season, which will debut at a race in Phoenix on November 10. The partnership pairs NASCAR’s winningest team and Hall of Fame owner Jack Roush with NASCAR perennial contender Newman and Mazola Corn Oil, an all-purpose, heart healthy* cooking oil 100% sourced from corn grown in the Midwest.
“We are excited to have Mazola Corn Oil on board," said Newman, during a press conference announcing the partnership. “As a driver and a father, I strive for nothing but the best both on and off the track. That’s why when it comes to making a delicious meal for my family, I choose the “gold standard" of cooking oils, heart healthy Mazola Corn Oil for the best in taste and performance."
The announcement was made during a press event at Talladega Superspeedway where Newman then treated members of the media to a meal prepared with Mazola Corn Oil.
“We look forward to a great partnership with Ryan and are proud to provide a dependable and heart healthy product that can be used in everyday meals,"said Mike Shehorn, Senior Brand Manager of Mazola.
According to a study cited in the Journal of Clinical Lipidology, Mazola Corn Oil can help lower cholesterol two times more than extra virgin olive oil. Additionally, Mazola Corn Oil’s high smoke point makes it a great all-purpose cooking oil for a variety of cooking techniques and dishes, whether it’s baking and grilling to sautéing and marinating.
Newman, who is in his first season driving the No. 6 for Roush Fenway, moves into Talladega coming off two straight top-10 finishes and is currently locked inside the playoff hunt, sitting in 14th in the driver standings.
