Square To Provide Payment Processors At Indianapolis 500
Square CEO Jack Dorsey, is also getting Square big into Bitcoin payment processing |
Payment processing company Square has signed a new B2B deal with Indianapolis Motor Speedway where it will provide its payment processors at the track's concession stands for Sunday's Indianapolis 500.
Many of the track’s concession stands previously only accepted cash, but they now will carry Square’s hardware that accepts all credit/debit cards plus mobile payments like those from Google and Apple.
Hawkers walking up and down the grandstands also will carry Square mobile handheld hardware to accept credit/debit and mobile payments, and Square says this is only the second sporting event where it has used such technology. Square also has a deal with the Nationals. Adam Stern/SBD
