Nasr ‘knocking’ on Lotus’ door?

Felipe Nasr is firmly in the running to replace Kimi Raikkonen at Lotus, according to reports from F1Today.net.

The Finn will leave the Enstone outfit this winter to join Ferrari, leaving the black and gold squad with only Romain Grosjean ahead of 2013.

Nasr has emerged as a candidate for the position of late, duo, in part, to financial backing.

The GP2 ace has $15m of support behind him, and has opened talks with Lotus.

Nico Hulkenberg, Paul di Resta and Felipe Massa have also been linked with the position.
