Wife arranging to take Schumacher home (Update)
It was reported that the former Ferrari and Mercedes driver's wife is currently arranging for a medical suite to be added to their Swiss home, so that Schumacher can continue his now more than three-month coma away from the Grenoble hospital.
It was suggested Corinna Schumacher plans to take her husband home because doctors believe his chances of ever recovering are now slim.
But Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm denied even that a medical suite is being built at the mansion on Lake Geneva.
"The rumors that Corinna is remodeling her house to take the supposedly hopeless Michael home are absolutely groundless," she told the major German daily Bild.
The newspaper said the only construction occurring at the Schumacher house at present is a house for the seven time world champion's father Rolf.
Kehm also denied that Schumacher is now entering a permanently vegetative state, three long months after he struck his head on a rock whilst skiing in the French alps.
"I can only say again, there are signs that give us hope," she insisted.
03/30/14 (GMM) Michael Schumacher could soon be headed home.
British newspapers the Daily Mail and the Sun are reporting that the F1 legend's wife Corinna is making arrangements for a $17 million medical suite so that Schumacher can continue his now three-month coma at their home on Lake Geneva.
The Daily Mail report, written by Sam Creighton and Allan Hall, said Mrs. Schumacher is making the arrangements after she was "told it is unlikely he (Schumacher) will ever wake up".
The correspondents quoted a 25-year friend of the Schumacher family as saying: "All the money in the world cannot fix what has happened to him.
"The family are making arrangements for a future of permanent immobility."
