Montreal to renew F1 deal for 10 year

Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre today said that the F1 Canadian Grand Prix at Gilles-Villeneuve will continue to be held in the city for “another decade under an agreement to be reached soon." F1’s agreement with Octane Racing Group to stage the grand prix is slated to expire after the June 8 race. F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone is also “optimistic a new deal will be reached." Ecclestone: “We’re in the process of getting things sorted out and I’m sure we’ll do that." Bloomberg News
