Patricio O’Ward back in IndyCar action at Road America
With the help of Gallagher and Red Bull O'Ward gets another race |
It's time for the sweeping curves of Road America and the next round of the NTT IndyCar Series this coming weekend. Red Bull Junior Patricio O’Ward and the Carlin team are more than ready.
“I'm looking forward to this weekend for a lot of reasons," enthused the 20-year-old from his home in Mexico, ready to leave early on Thursday for the US. “Road America is a great race track and it's a circuit on which you can make a lot of difference. If you can put together the perfect lap that is going to give you a big advantage in lap time."
“I believe I was on pole there last year for the Indy Lights and I am really looking forward to driving it in the IndyCar," stated the 2018 Indy Lights champion who was quickest in practice last year at Road America and on pole for Race 2.

“It has a lot of long corners and that can work the tires hard so looking after them can be really key and that is where a lot of knowledge and experience can come into play, to orient the car so that you can make the tires work best."
“Add to all that another reason why I am excited about the weekend is the weather. We are set for a wet weekend and I enjoy racing in the rain a lot. We've been really really fast any time it has been wet so I am certainly looking forward to plenty of rain at Road America," he concluded.
