Latifi gets second FP1 outing in France

For the second race running, Williams reserve driver Nicholas Latifi will enjoy an FP1 outing with the British team.

After replacing Robert Kubica in the Friday morning session in Montreal, Latifi will take over George Russell's FW42 in FP1, adding another precious 90 minutes to his F1 experience.

Kubica adds to sponsor's comments on future with Williams.

"I’m excited to continue my FP1 program with the team in France coming off a successful weekend in Canada," said Latifi.

"Montreal had a lot of positives and I’m looking to build on those experiences going into Le Castellet.

"It’s quite a different track with a lot less risk involved due to the nature of the circuit which will give me confidence to push a bit harder."

It will be busy weekend at Paul Ricard for the 23-year-old who will also resume his title ambitions in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.

"It’s also a weekend where I will be mixing my F1 duties with an F2 race weekend, which poses a unique challenge.

"I’m more than up for it and looking forward to what will be a very busy weekend."
