Check out today's teleconference with 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay. The driver of the #28 Andretti Autosport DHL Honda is of course, a free agent at year's end. Further, its well known the team has spoken with Schmidt Peterson Hamilton's Simon Pagenaud about a potential drive next season.

However, in this interview, RHR sounded very much like a driver who was going to re-sign with Andretti soon.

"While we don't have a contract yet," said Hunter-Reay "I think it's all heading in the right direction. So, thankfully it's not a stressful situation; therefore, I can concentrate on what really matters, and that's winning the championship this year."

Also, when talking about the fact he will be driving for Dodge at Petite Le Mans in October, Hunter-Reay said there were some other off-season plans in the works, which he could be announcing soon.

Call us crazy, but that has Andretti Autosport and a sports cars effort written all over it.

Anyway, it sounds to us like the dynamite RHR/Andretti will be together for a sixth season in 2015. At this point it’s probably just a matter of finalizing a few details.
