13 years after F1, IndyCar finally introduces KERS/Hybrid

Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) that IndyCar is introducing in 2022 is an innovation introduced in Formula One from the 2009 Season to give cars a short-term power boost on each lap. Although not used in 2010, KERS made a return to the sport in 2011. It was renamed to ERS-K for the 2014 season and remains in use today.

However, the current F1 power unit is far far more advanced. Learn from the video below:
