Rebellion Racing will be running only a single-car LMP1 entry for the majority of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Swiss squad ran two cars recently at Silverstone when it added the #3 Rebellion R13-Gibson, driven to a third place finish by Nat Berthon, Pipo Derani and Loic Duval. At the time, the team said it was considering to run the car during every race in season 8, but the team has now confirmed that will not happen.

The next time the #3 entry will be on the grid again is the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in April 2020, leaving only the #1 to contest the upcoming rounds in Fuji, Shanghai, Bahrain, Sao Paulo and Sebring at the team's only entry.

The confirmation leaves the LMP1 grid down to five cars for the upcoming five rounds of the championship, with the #1 joining Toyota and Ginetta.
