Leclerc tops final Singapore GP practice
The Ferraris of Leclerc and Vettel |
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc put up a sensational lap of 1m38.192s in the final practice for the Singapore GP to stun the F1 paddock and beat Singapore ace Lewis Hamilton by 0.207s in the #44 Mercedes.
Mercedes expected Red Bull to be their biggest challengers here in Singapore but Leclerc has put Ferrari firmly in the mix for pole.
Did Ferrari turn their engines up? Or run lower fuel? Their rivals will hope so, as that was quite the lap by Leclerc, a stunning 1m 38.192s.
He is the form man, and looks full of confidence in everything he does. Can he make it three poles in a row?
Leclerc's Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel was 3rd quick 0.619s back and just ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the 2nd #77 Mercedes.
Alexander Albon got the better of Max Verstappen with the Red Bull teammates 5th and 6th quick, but over 1-second off the pace.
