Sunday's planned running of the 12th Annual NTK NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway has been postponed to Monday, with eliminations scheduled to begin at 10am.

Persistent rain showers that moved into the area overnight lingered throughout the day, with track-drying operations continuing in hopes of finding a break in the weather. At 5pm, another shower accompanied by lightning forced track officials to evacuate the grandstands before officials from the NHRA finally threw in the towel at 5:30 pm.
