Honda is making its Global Rallycross debut this season with the powerful OMSE team. Also, AR1 can confirm that FIAT took a serious look at joining the series this offseason with their 500 series. However, talks broke down a few months.
In addition to the confirmed drivers above, Austin Dyne (Herta), Bucky Lasek (Subaru) and Pat Moro (PMR) are listed as drivers on the GRC website. Bryan Herta told AR1’s Brian Carroccio at the Phoenix IndyCar race that Dyne was a maybe for 2016, although we imagine he will race in some capacity.
Lasek is listed as a Rallycross driver on the Team Subaru USA website but we have seen no confirmation as to his 2016 status.
As for PMR, they ran the Chevy Sonic in two rounds last year, and we’re guessing they will be part-time at most in 2016.
