Sochi to become a night race?

The race is already losing millions every year. Who is, therefore, going to pay for the lights?

(GMM) Russian race organizers are still not ruling out the possibility Sochi could switch to a night race format in the future.

However, the Russian news agency Tass insists that the 2017 Russian grand prix will definitely be held in the day.

Promoter Sergey Vorobyov confirmed: "There will not be a night grand prix next year, but the idea is still alive."

The three current F1 night races are Singapore, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
