Dale Jr. is back from a concussion and both he and Chase Elliott are the two most fan-popular drivers in NASCAR – this helps to sell tickets.

02/19/17 The race is not a sellout again. Something must be done to fill the grandstands. Who will the timing and scoring computers put on the pole for the Daytona 500 to help sell more race tickets? In recent years it was:

2016: Chase Elliott, son of Bill, wins the pole in the #24's first race since Jeff Gordon's retirement; youngest pole winner in Daytona 500 history
