Advance Auto Parts Partnering With Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Update)

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' today. Advance Auto Parts, a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America that serves both professional installer and do-it-yourself customers, has signed a strategic, multi-year partnership with the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).

The agreement designates Advance Auto Parts as the official partner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at events including the legendary Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, INDYCAR Grand Prix, Lights at the Brickyard, and more. Advance Auto Parts has more than 5,100 company-operated stores across the United States and Canada.

The IMS Radio Network also will be renamed the Advance Auto Parts INDYCAR Radio Network.

02/27/17 Advance Auto Parts this afternoon will announce that it has struck a deal to become a new official partner of Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The deal is for multiple years and covers the track's major events like the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, IndyCar Grand Prix and Lights at the Brickyard.

The IMS Radio Network will also be renamed the Advance Auto Parts IndyCar Radio Network. Advance works with Genesco Sports Enterprises on its motorsports marketing. The move comes after Advance Auto Parts signed on to title sponsor NASCAR's season-opening Clash at Daytona. Adam Stern/SBD
