NASCAR eyeing more doubleheaders
Atlanta Motor Speedway has hosted an Xfinity-Camping World Truck Series doubleheader for three seasons and the possibility for more tracks to follow suit is on the table.
"We're open to it," O'Donnell said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's "Morning Drive." "We love it. For the fans, it’s a full day of racing – getting to see some of NASCAR’s rising stars come up through the system and also see some of the Monster Energy Series drivers out there on Saturday."
Prior to Atlanta, Auto Club Speedway hosted the last scheduled NXS-NCWTS doubleheader in 2009 while weather has forced other tracks to run two divisions in one day.
