According to AR1.com sources, Joe Gibbs Racing will promote Chris Gabehart from crew chief on the 20 Xfinity series car to crew chief for Denny Hamlin on the FedEx-sponsored 11 Cup series car for 2019.
Gabehart is a former late model racer and engineering grad from Purdue University.
