UPDATE Charlie Kimball has announced the events in which he will compete for Carlin Racing in the 2019 NTT IndyCar series.

Operating a reduced schedule compared to previous years, the one-time race winner will line up at St. Petersburg, the Indianapolis 500, Texas Motor Speedway, Pocono and the season finale at Laguna Seca.

The No. 23 car will again team up with global healthcare company Novo Nordisk US, who will be sponsoring Kimball for the 11th year in succession.

Although finishing 17th in last years IndyCar championship, Kimball recorded three top 10 finishes in the last six races, with Carlin’s best result of the season coming in a fifth-placed finish at Toronto.

“Looking forward to competing at some of our favorite tracks this year and supporting Carlin Racing and the No. 23 team," Kimball announced via Twitter.

Carlin has yet to announce whether another driver will pilot the No. 23 car at the events in which Kimball will not compete.

Kimball will once again be partnered by Max Chilton, whose full-time schedule was announced in January.
