Formula 1 News: Verstappen burns rubber in Ford Mustang

Although Max Verstappen is still driving a Red Bull Honda-powered car in F1, Red Bull and Ford are designing and building new F1 powertrains for 2026. As part of that work, Verstappen just spent some seat time in a Mustang Dark Horse ripping around a track.

The resulting video footage is an ad that Ford calls “Living On The Limit.”

Filmed in Italy at the Circuito Tazio Nuvolari, the promo features Verstappen in racing garb engaging track mode as a voiceover speaks.

“The best car is one that authorizes the driver’s inner need to go fast and liberates the dark horse within,” it says.

“Even when the track is empty and there is no P1, the true driver, they just drive.”
