Automotive News: Hertz Asking EV Renters To Buy Their woke EVs (Update)
A note we received from a Hertz Spokesperson:
“Everyone knows we rent cars, but perhaps you don’t know we sell them too. We have 40 retail locations you can visit nationwide but you can also check them out online! Our commitment to a modern, diverse fleet means we offer well-maintained vehicles nationwide at competitive prices, typically below Kelley Blue Book value. From luxury models and SUVs to sedans and EVs, we’ve got options at great prices. And if you’re renting a vehicle that will soon join our sales inventory, we often let you know.” – Hertz spokesperson
Herta rotates their fleet regularly, giving customers access to well-maintained, competitively priced vehicles at 40 Hertz Car Sales locations nationwide. Whether you’re looking for an SUV, sedan, EV or luxury model, there’s something for everyone.
As part of their commitment to offering a fresh and modern rental fleet that aligns with customer preferences, the company sells a wide range of vehicles — with no haggling involved. Customers can enjoy savings at Hertz Car Sales locations because cars are priced to sell, with many below Kelley Blue Book values.
When drivers rent from Hertz, they have access to a wide variety of newer, well-maintained vehicles, giving customers at Hertz Car Sales a unique opportunity to buy high-quality pre-owned cars
Most of the cars for sale are 2024 models or one year old and priced competitively. Every car sold by Hertz undergoes a rigorous 115-point inspection and includes a 12-month/12,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.

Hertz is selling its EVs in response to the plummeting used car market for EVs. In what appears to be a desperate effort to offload their EVs, the rental giant has begun reaching out directly to customers currently renting them, offering an opportunity to purchase the cars outright on the spot.

A Reddit user recently shared a screenshot of an email they received from Hertz while renting a 2023 Tesla Model 3. In the email, Hertz offered the renter the chance to buy the EV for just $17,913.

Another user from the same subreddit says they recently rented a Polestar (presumably a Polestar 2) and were sent a similar email, offering them the chance to buy it for $28,500.
Many are predicting a big crash in the Auto Market in 2025 – inventory levels are at record highs, time on lot times are sometimes more than a year for some model.
R&D for EVs has caused all car prices to skyrocket
Prices for EVs and ICE cars are high because the Biden Administration’s push toward EVs has caused all manufacturers to invest billions of dollars in R&D for EV technology, and they have passed those huge costs unfairly on to their ICE vehicles to offset the huge loss.
In addition, Biden’s printing of money to buy votes has caused real inflation and interest rates to skyrocket. As a result, buyers cannot afford to lease or buy most of today’s vehicles.
At some point, we are going to see huge discounts on cars on the lots because they have to make room for the new 2025 models.
What is rather ironic is that this impending disaster was all caused by the Woke Democrats who had the audacity to think they were going to ram expensive EVs down consumers throats.
It has backfired and it will soon all come unraveled. So in 2025, when you see the car market crash, know it was caused by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who perpetrated the EV lie.
