TV News: ESPN adds two supplemental F1 viewing channels

ESPN has further expanded its coverage of Formula 1 by adding two supplemental viewing channels for the selected races that stream on ESPN+. The new feeds begin with Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

  • Onboard Cameras Channel
  • Driver Tracker Channel

The new channels will only be available for races that stream on ESPN+. Remaining races on the 2024 F1 calendar that will stream on ESPN+ are The Netherlands, Italy, U.S. Grand Prix, Mexico, Brazil and Las Vegas (tentative schedule – subject to change).

The British Grand Prix airs Sunday on ESPN2 and streams on ESPN+ – race coverage begins at 9:55 a.m. ET.

These two social posts have video examples of the two new channels:

Lando Norris completed a clean sweep of Friday’s free practice sessions ahead of the British Grand Prix, having beaten McLaren Formula 1 team-mate Oscar Piastri by 0.331 seconds in FP2.

Norris posted a 1m26.549s among the mid-session soft-tire runs to go top in preparation for qualifying on Saturday, chiselling Piastri off the top of the charts as the Australian briefly held the fastest time.
