IndyCar: Friday Afternoon Report from Road America
The weather is delightful today as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and the INDY NXT by Firestone prepares for racing this weekend at Road America. Temperatures will be in the high 60s today.
The drivers eagerly anticipate the intense competition at the fastest and longest natural terrain road course. Among the active drivers, this highly competitive race has six winners. Scott Dixon, Josef Newgarden, and Alex Palou have each claimed victory twice, while Will Power, Alexander Rossi, and Felix Rosenqvist have one win each.
The 4.014-mile, 14-turn course also has an elevation change of nearly 211 feet per lap.
Firestone will supply all the tires for the two series this weekend. With the track being a high speed track, the primary tires are the same as last year, offering increased durability. The alternate (red) tires are the same construction as the alternative tires used in 2023.
Here is the schedule for today. Time in Central time
