IndyCar: Carb Day Update from Indianapolis
Good morning from the best place to be for Memorial Day weekend, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indianapolis 500. Draped in tradition, this weekend cumulates the months of preparation and hard work by all the NTT INDYCAR Series teams and, most importantly, the drivers.
Today is the final day of practice for all 33 cars that will start the 200-lap race on Sunday morning. The last of the tweaks in race trim will be tested this morning by the international field of drivers.
Weather will be great today, with temperatures predicted to reach 75 degrees. It is only 51 degrees this morning, so jackets are required.
Schedule for today:
11 am – 1 pm Final Practice
2:30 – 4 pm Pit Stop Competition
4 pm Bryan Adams Concert with special guest Soul Asylum.
Fans were starting to line up at the gates at 7:30 am. A big crowd is expected as this is a traditional day to take off work and enjoy the race cars and the excellent weather.
