F1: Caffeine company has out-engineered the car giants

–by Mark Cipolloni–

Is F1 boring because a caffeine drink company, Red Bull, is simply out-engineering car giants Mercedes, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, McLaren, Aston Martin and Renault/Alpine?

Hell no.

However, the car companies are seeing their brands tarnished because what does a caffeine company know about car design?

Right?

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said it best:

“We’ve never had a start to the season like this. We’re kind of wondering where the others are.”

“We made a normal start over the winter, but we’re wondering where Ferrari and Mercedes have gone.”

Max Verstappen on being booed for being the best F1 driver:

“People often don’t like it when you win. If we were in the back we wouldn’t have heard anything. But I’d rather be at the top and take my trophy. And they go home and have a nice evening…”

Called Cheaters, kids bullied

Red Bull were called cheaters because of their minor cost cap breach in 2021.  The cheating allegations got so bad, the children of Red Bull employees were being bullied at school.

So Adrian Newey and his Red Bull design staff put their heads down and designed a Red Bull car so good the car manufacturers have been left reeling in embarrassment.

Paybacks are indeed a bitch!
