TV News: 100 Days of Indy Episode 2 TV Rating (Update)

–by Mark Cipolloni–

The final ratings are in for Episode 2 of 100 Days to Indy.

Viewership dropped 12,000 viewers from an overnight of 222,000 to 210,000.

The 18-49 year old age group remained at 50,000 viewers.

If this trend continues, 100 Days to Indy will not move the needle for IndyCar as they had hoped.

In Episode 1 last Thursday night, 100 Days to Indy was left at the Starting Gate!

CW drew 206,000 overnight viewers for the first episode of IndyCar’s new Docuseries “100 Days to Indy”  The finals dropped to 189,000 viewers, but the first Episode was up against the NFL draft so Episode 2 was expected to draw a lot more viewers.

30,000 of the 206,000 viewers were in the all-important 18-49 year old age group, i.e. 14.5% – a horrible result indicating that 85.4% of the viewers were old people.

Episode 2 Viewership

CW drew 222,000 overnight viewers for the 2nd episode of IndyCar’s new Docuseries “100 Days to Indy” – a slight increase of 16,000 viewers over Episode 1 helped by the fact it was not up against the NFL Draft.

The final number is again expected to be lower.

50,000 of the 222,000 viewers were in the all-important 18-49 year old age group, i.e. 22.5% – a horrible result, but slightly better than last week

By comparison F1 gets over 5 million viewers per episode of its highly successful Docuseries, Drive to Survive.
