NASCAR: Mark Harmon Racing becomes CHK Racing

It’s OFFICIAL! There will be a NEW LOOK in the NASCAR XFINITY SERIES 2023! Mike Harmon, owner of Mike Harmon Racing No. 74 and No. 47 Chevrolets based in Denver, North Carolina in the NASCAR XFINITY SERIES, has taken on Gary Keller and Michael Clayton Sr as partners entering the 2023 NASCAR XFINITY SEASON! Gary Keller, an Ohio Businessman as partner in the operations of the team. It was announced on November 4, 2022, during the Legends of Racing Radio Show (Show 231), which Keller is a co-host, announced that he would be joining as a partner. With Mr. Keller coming on board, it was a direct fit for Mr. Michael Clayton Sr to join the team as partner and assisting with business operations.

It is announced today, that the team will now officially be called, CHK Racing – Clayton, Harmon, Keller. This partnership will allow Mike Harmon, Gary Keller and Mike Clayton Sr to be committed to improved results in competition and business operations. Mike (Harmon) will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, while Gary and Mike (Clayton Sr.) will work to improve business management and marketing. Mike Clayton Sr will also be assisting with business management and marketing.

Gary Keller is no stranger to NASCAR, Keller has owned an ARCA, NASCAR Craftsman Truck and NASCAR Xfinity teams since 2001. In addition to ownership Mr. Keller is also Co-Host of “Legends of Racing Radio Show”, live from Dayton Beach, Florida. Outside of NASCAR, Mr. Keller is the co-owner of ServiceMaster by Disaster Relief based out of Pinellas County Florida. ServiceMaster by Disaster Relief provides commercial/residential water mitigation, mold remediation, and catastrophe services.

Michael Clayton Sr has been associated and had a passion for racing/speed his whole life. Mr. Clayton has raced dirt track, sand drags, and multiple other forms of racing in his life. In addition to ownership Mr. Clayton is co-owner with Gary Keller of ServiceMaster by Disaster Relief based out of Pinellas County Florida. ServiceMaster by Disaster Relief provides commercial/residential water mitigation, mold remediation, and catastrophe services. Mr. Clayton volunteers as an advocate for the “RACE TO GIVE INIATIVE FOR THE FLORIDA SHERIFF’S YOUTH RANCH” a non-for profit to assist youth by preventing delinquency and develop lawful, resilient, and productive citizens.

The team will be bringing back the No. 74 for their full-time entry for the 2023 campaign, with the first race of the 2023 Season being “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. 300” at the DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY on February 18, 2023.
