The first columns are in place for what will be a 300,000-square-foot, four-story paddock facility, located on the northeast corner of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane.

The area will feature the start/finish line, driver pits, ultra VIP spectator zones and a rooftop terrace. Plans are for F1 to utilize the space year-round, not just for race weekends.

“Construction on the paddock building is full steam ahead,” a race spokesperson said. “Timelines for construction and setups will vary in each zone, with some installs starting as early as June.” Las Vegas Review Journal

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to take place in November, less than 11 months from now and there is a lot of work to do on the paddock facilities and paving.

The US will have three races next season – more than any other country – with the popular Austin race being joined once again by Miami and, of course, Vegas.  New York City as put in a bid to become the 4th race in the USA.  Although the series would like to see a 4th race, the liberal politics in NY all but killed that idea.

If another venue steps forward in the USA, F1 will consider it, because American owners Liberty Media see real growth potential in the USA.

Meanwhile, crews are working feverishly to get Las Vegas ready.
