Rumor: Six venues for 2023 F1 Sprint Races chosen (Update)

This rumor is upgraded to ‘fact’ today.  The FIA made it official – the six F1 Sprint Races for 2023 will be Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Qatar, Austin and Brazil.

During a meeting of the F1 Commission in Abu Dhabi on Friday, part of the discussions were devoted to plans for the 2023 season and where the sprints should take place.

Rumors are that the six Sprint Race venues are as follows:

Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Baku

Austrian Grand Prix – Red Bull Ring

Belgian Grand Prix – Spa-Francorchamps

Qatar Grand Prix – Losail (or Saudi Arabian GP)

United States Grand Prix – Austin

Brazilian Grand Prix – Interlagos
