F1: Big names to perform at Abu Dhabi GP (Update)

With only two weeks until the 2022 Formula 1 season finale at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management and Flash Entertainment today confirmed that US R&B icon Usher will join the Yasalam After-Race Concert line-up on Thursday, 17th November.

The addition of Usher to the bill means that five-artists will be performing in what promises to be an extra special four-day line-up of global music superstars, with acclaimed British rap star Dave, multi-Platinum, Grammy-Award winning artist Kendrick Lamar, multi-Grammy Award nominated hip hop trio Swedish House Mafia, and Hall of Fame legends Def Leppard all performing at Etihad Park – the entertainment centerpiece of Yas Island.

Saif Al Noaimi, CEO, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management, said: “We are delighted to confirm that we have added yet another world-class artist to our already fantastic weekend line-up – making for a total of five artists across our four-day Abu Dhabi Grand Prix festival. We will be offering our race-goers from around the world another unreal experience with a range of different genres to make their weekend unreal. With race weekend almost here, all that remains is for me to wish a warm welcome to the thousands of global F1 fans who will soon be making their way to Yas Island – the Meeting Place of Champions.”

The addition of Grammy Award-winning industry icon Usher to the opening night, alongside critically acclaimed artist Dave, and having two AAA artists for the Thursday night is something new for Yasalam, new for us and really adds value for fans. This will be a unique, memorable evening of live entertainment.”

Iconic rock band Def Leppard (shown above) and British rapper Dave are set to perform in Abu Dhabi during the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2022.

While the iconic UK outfit will bring the curtains down on Sunday, November 20 at the Grand Prix, Dave will be playing at the Yasalam After-Race concert on Thursday, November 17.

The two world-class acts will join an already incredible lineup of multi-Platinum, Grammy-award winning artist Kendrick Lamar, and multiple Grammy-nominated trio Swedish House Mafia who will be performing at the Etihad Park during the iconic sporting event. All the performances and the races will make for four days full of thrill.

Access to the concerts is exclusively for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders. While unprecedented global demand has seen all 2022 Grand Prix tickets sold out, limited Golden Circle access is still available, providing the best possible access closest to the stage at the Etihad Park.
