TV News: Weekend TV Ratings
TV ratings from last weekend show the NASCAR Cup race drew 33.94% more viewers at Richmond by moving the race from NBCSN to the USA Network in 2022. This is the sixth consecutive Cup Series race and fifth consecutive USA Network Cup Series race with year to year viewership gains over hapless NBCSN.
However, the Truck Race from Richmond on FS1 saw the viewership drop 32.25%. For both races the all important 18-49 year old viewers were only 20%, continuing the recent trend.
The NHRA race from Topeka moved from FOX next year to FS1 this year saw a drop of 55.41% in viewership. This year, only 8% of the viewers were in the all-important 18-49 year old age group, indicating that the NHRA is on life support.
