TV News: Weekend USA TV Ratings
Rating Highlights:
- NASCAR a took hit in KANSAS, with the Cup race down 11.7% from last year and the truck race down 9.8%, both on FS1
- The GMR Grand Prix NTT IndyCar race on the Indianapolis Road Course was down 6.2% on NBC
- The NHRA finals from Richmond were down 6.2% from the same weekend last year in Charlotte.
- In all cases, the ratio of 18-49 viewers to total viewers was poor compared to what F1 routinely gets. F1 has captured the all-important 18-49 year old viewers while NASCAR, IndyCar and NHRA have a fan base that is aging out.
